Attempting Italian and Greek cooking...

Happy Malaysia Day!

Today, hubby and I decided to try out 2 new recipes; Italian Tomato-stuffed rice and Greek Beef Stifado. He cooked the tomato-stuffed rice, while I did the beef stifado. Here's the outcome:

The tomato-stuffed rice called for arborio rice. Since we couldn't get hold of arborio rice, we used normal rice instead. 2 kinds of herbs were used; parsley and basil. Topping with cheddar cheese slice was my idea.

The Greek Beef Stifado is a popular traditional dish eaten during winter as comfort food. This beef stew contains onions, tomatoes, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves ( I used star anise instead), rosemary, bay leaves, wine and vinegar.
