One of Evelyn's request when she was here is to eat laksa, so we brought her to BB Coffee Shop.
This humble coffee shop is located near Sunshine Square at Bayan Baru, Penang.
One of the reasons why I like to come here for my makan is because of the famed Penang Road laksa.
In case you do not know what laksa is, please read
here. There are several versions of laksa. The famous ones are asam laksa, laksa lemak, laksa Kedah, laksa Johor and Sarawak Laksa. This shows you that different states have their own version of laksa.
Anyway, the one I'm gonna introduce to you today is none other than the Penang Laksa, or otherwise better known as asam laksa. I absolutely love this laksa; the blend of sour, salty and sweet all in one bowl of delicious laksa, topped with 'hei-ko' or prawn paste.

RM 3.50/bowl |
Next up is the Char Kueh Teow. ''Char' in the Hokkien language means 'Fried'. There are many famous Char Kueh Teow stalls in Penang but the one we had at BB was not bad either.
|
RM 4.50/plate |
Fried rice was so-so, the ones sold at Alor Setar are spicier and tastier.
|
RM 4.00/plate |
We ordered lobak from one of the stalls.

RM 7.10 |
You can't possibly get such cheap and delicious food in KL. So come to Penang, I bet you will put on extra kilos:)
