Usually the first few things I do after booking the hotel is to look for recommended restaurants from Trip Advisor. The below are the few places that we tried when we were at Koh Lipe.
I hope you enjoy reading this post!
Nee Papaya
Not to be mistaken for Mam Papaya, Nee Papaya is located almost the end of the 'Walking Street'. I read somewhere that this place is where the locals usually go as the prices are reasonable. Please note that when I say reasonable it does not mean dirt cheap, since relatively food in Koh Lipe is on the higher side.
We were here for lunch on the 1st day of our trip. We were the only couple here beside another couple from Singapore whom we met and journeyed from Langkawi to Lipe.
After browsing through the menu for some time, we ordered 3 dishes and one mango sticky rice (just for the sake of trying). Didn't manage to capture that since we are already too engross with eating.
Both the vegetables and egg tasted normal. I mean it's like what we have in Malaysia, nothing too fancy.
Stir fry kai-lan ~ 80 Baht
Thai Seafood Omelette ~ 120 Baht
Thai Green Curry ~ 100 Baht
The green curry was really nice, spicier than usual since I requested for it. The portion is adequate.
The total bill came up to 450 Baht.
