As our 7th Anniversary approaches, I got restless figuring what to do, or where to go. Finally, I found De Serenity after zooming into Google Maps of the resorts located along Pantai Hills, Negeri Sembilan. As I did not see much reviews of this place, I decided that we should come here to celebrate our anniversary. I contacted the owner Malani and booked for a night. Found out we could even bring Brownie as long as he does not jump into the pool. Well this place certainly did not disappoint!
On the 13th May morning, we left home about 10 am. Using LEKAS highway, follow the signboard and take exit 2106 (Persimpangan Ampangan). From there you can use Google Maps to bring you to the location.
We arrived around 10.40 am. Got a little lost because there were no signboards of the resort. The only signboards we saw along the way was to The Dusun and Shorea.
Note: You need to enter through a gate which has a signboard that reads Pantai Hill Resort.
When we arrived, Seha the staff in charged brought us to the villa we booked. It is called JJ Villa.
We were told that the entire villa ( JR Villa, Jakob Villa and JJ Villa was built by Malani's husband, Jaap)
JJ Villa is perfect for both of us. It has a four-poster king sized bed, a really nice and clean bathroom and a cozy kitchen. The windows open to the view of the forest.
The kitchen is adequately equipped with a stove, cooking utensils, pots and pans, cutlery, fridge, microwave oven, toaster and a kettle jug. You can even grill or BBQ here.
The first thing I did after unpacking was.....to jump into the pool!
After a quick lunch, we rested a while. About 3.30pm we brought Brownie for a walk. See....he looked so happy!
Got back, and I went for another swim. We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves as there were no other bookings that day.
As sunset approaches, we started to prepare dinner. There was a lot of bacon that night.
JJ Villa comes with a TV and DVD player, so you can bring your own DVDs to watch. We watched a movie before bed.
Overall, we had a truly wonderful short staycation at De Serenity. The best deal was having the entire place to ourselves for a day, so we could take as many pictures as we liked.
