Santorini: Day 2 (15th May 2012)

It was our 2nd year anniversary, and we wanted to spent the day at Oia (pronounced Ee-ya) . Hubby asked me if we should catch the bus from Fira to Oia, or rent a scooter. Since we wanted to have dinner at Oia and watch the magnificent sunset (8.30pm), it would be too late to catch the last bus. So we opted for the scooter.
As usual, I was worried that my hair would be flattened by the helmet..haha..now you know how vain I am.

Stopped by this place....

Can you see a miniature model of this church sitting at the corner?

Another church

Unique house

Detoured to Perissa beach (black-sand beach). It was not summer yet, so there were not many people sunbathing.

After lunch, we continued our ride towards Oia using the old road. Some of the sceneries captured along the way.

Windmills!

I spotted a church on top of the hill and we decided to ride up the hill.

About half an hour later, we found ourselves on the way towards Oia.

People choosing the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Did you know that once the sun has set, they clapped hands?
Almost the finale
