Europe Trip May 2012: Villa Rose, Santorini

Accomodation

We stayed at this cozy and impressive place at called Villa Rose which is situated in Fira, owned by Maria and her husband (Nikolas).

My first impression of the room was WOW! Loved the blue and white colour combination. The walls have smooth and excellent finishing, solid doors, clean room..what more do you want for 50 euro/night? Note that this is the price you get around the month of May, as it's still considered low season.

Although Villa Rose is not situated at the caldera, but it's very near to Fira town (6 mins walk). The room is well-equipped with a mini kitchen and other kitchen utensils. The fridge is well stocked with food (milk, croissants, yoghurt, jam, butter, eggs). These food are included in the price of the room. There's house wine on the kitchen table you can sample.

Both Maria, Kiki and Nikolas are superb host. Kiki picked us up from airport on the day we arrived, and Maria sent us to the airport on the day of departure. And they did this for free! We even had welcoming drink and cake when we first arrived. And when they found out that we were celebrating our 2nd year wedding anniversary, they got us cake too:)
