Kedai Kopi Kou Fu @ Mantin

This humble kedai kopi (coffee shop) is where I usually bring my parents whenever they visit.

Usually, hubby and I order their noodles (tai lok meen and claypot bee tai bak) because we would struggle to finish our food if we were to order dishes.
Well, when there's 5 of us..I took the opportunity to try out their dishes.

Their Pai Kut Wong is awesome. I think if my stomach permits, I can eat 1/2 of  it by myself.

Pai Kut Wong (Sweet and sour spare ribs) - RM 20

We had Bitter gourd soup twice within 3 days. My sister loves this!
Bitter gourd soup (RM 10)

The Nyonya Sotong (squid) tastes good as well. I like!

The Luo Han Zhai was rather bland (aren't all vegetarian dishes like that?).

Luo Han Zhai (RM 12)
There are so many other dishes I would like to try at this restaurant.
We will be back:)

Restoran Fu Jing, Semenyih

If you love eating wild boar, then this is the place for you if you are around Semenyih.

This restaurant sells different kinds of noodles with topped with either minced wild boar, pork or chicken curry (dry). You can choose to have your noodles 'kan lou' style (with dark soy sauce), or in soups.

The portion is usually sufficient, but because it was a school holiday they ran out of wild boar meat which is why the pictures show a slightly lesser amount of wild boar.

The noodles are served with a bowl of soup (lat thong or plain - you can choose) containing meatballs and some pork slices. You can have innards if you like.

Lat Thong (Spicy peppery soup)
It's usually about RM 5.80 per bowl (we were charged only RM 5 since they ran out of wild boar).

This restaurant also sells wild boar in curry laksa and also  fish head noodles (worth trying!).

The restaurant opens daily (until evening) except on the 1st and 15th day of the Chinese calendar

Chunburi Seafood Restaurant, Nilai

Been really slacking in blogging recently. This is partly due to improper time management, but mainly due to the sluggish internet here.

Here's a belated post about a Thai restaurant we visited last month.

Discovered this restaurant accidentally when we turned into a wrong junction and had to make a U-turn.

We ordered 3 dishes (enough to make us full to the max).

Mango Kerabu

Crabs cooked with salted egg

Tomyam Poktek

I can't really remember the prices of each dish, but the total bill came up to less than RM 60 (including 2 plates of rice and drinks).
