If you are from the North and constantly crave for local delicacies such as assam laksa, char kueh teow and hokkien mee (prawn noodle), this post is dedicated to you.
The 1st time we were here was on Malaysia Day and there were not many people. The 2nd time was last week and the place was packed!
This little restaurant is not obvious from the main road. I stumbled upon this place when I was on my way to collect a parcel from Gdex.
The only thing that got my attention was 2 words: Penang Food.
Without that, I don't think I would have even stepped into this place.
I spoke to the owners and was told that they moved to Nilai from Butterworth 20 odd years ago. This shop has been opened for at least 5 years.

They have quite a bit of choices from their menu. You can find local delights (Penang Assam Laksa, Char Kueh Teow, Kueh Teow Soup, Hokkien Mee, etc) and some other additional food (Braised pork, curry pork rice). They also have appetizers (rojak, cucur udang) and desserts (cakes) to choose from.
Here's the pictures of the food from our 1st and 2nd visit.
Hokkien Mee (Prawn Noodle) - RM 6.50 |
Stewed Pork Rice (RM 8.90) |
Penang Assam Laksa (RM 6.90) |
Penang Char Kueh Teow (RM 6.90) |
We also tried their rojak (RM 5), it's a little pricey but good in every way.
I can't get enough of this place. Definitely coming back for more!
